The Faces of Fort Lauderdale
The FACE of RESTAURANTS
Tim Petrillo | The Restaurant People
Whether you live in Fort Lauderdale or just a visitor, it’s virtually impossible not to have frequented at least one of Tim Petrillo’s establishments.
A South Florida native, Petrillo, Co-Founder and CEO of The Restaurant People, moved from Boca Raton to Fort Lauderdale in 1992 with Houston’s restaurants. And, a mere five years later opened his first restaurant, Himmarshee Bar and Grill, a much-needed upscale restaurant with a unique feel, and ever-changing, creative menu.
Since then, he has continued successfully to bring fresh concepts in dining and nightlife to the area, to an audience who has come to trust him as a staple in Fort Lauderdale. Much of that trust comes from his involvement and commitment to the community; part of his core mission from the onset. Donations and involvement in worthy causes and venues for philanthropic events are just a few examples of his dedication and continuing mission to better Fort Lauderdale and its residents. With 11 restaurants in Fort Lauderdale including YOLO, S3, Boatyard, Township, the new Las Olas breakfast and lunch spot Java & Jam, pop-up dinners at TRP Taste and nightlife options like O Lounge and Rooftop @1WLO, Petrillo and The Restaurant People enhance our area and leave no dining stone unturned and no diner at a lack for choice.
