A California native, Chef William D’Auvray moved to North Carolina where he acquired over thirty years of experience in professional kitchens. Using a “farm-to-table” approach and the ability to elevate traditional Greek dishes to new heights, D’Auvray aims to bring fresh, simple and rustic cuisine without the need for heavy sauces, creams or dressings. “We make everything on premises; if we didn’t make it, it doesn’t get served.” says William D’Auvray. Under D’Auvray’s direction, Thasos Greek Taverna offers an innovative menu full of traditional Greek favorites with unique and eclectic dishes. Thasos’ welcoming environment makes it a place where people come in as customers and leave as friends.
