Go, See, Do: November's Guide To Arts And Entertainment
Experience Florida Day of the Dead
This South Florida signature event for all ages combines the Day of the Dead traditions with a modern aesthetic. Community members donning skeleton costumes will traipse from Huizenga Plaza along Riverwalk as if they’re going to visit their ancestors’ graves. Also find Ofrendas (community remembrance altars), craft vendors and traditional Mexican and Latin American performances. Join in on the celebration Nov. 2 in downtown Fort Lauderdale from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sleeping Beauty the Ballet
The South Florida Ballet Theater presents a gala of performances, including Pas de Deux from Flames of Paris, Pas de Deux from White Swan and Aurora’s Wedding from Sleeping Beauty. Experience the beauty and emotion of music and dance at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Nov. 25.
