Fort Lauderdale’s Sushi Shack Opens On Las Olas Boulevard
Let the good times roll—just like your favorite sushi dish—at the newest Japanese restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.
Sushi Shack opened its door in late September at its 4,100-square-foot location on Las Olas Boulevard. The space has an open, contemporary feel with indoor and outdoor seating, an interior mural by local artist Ciccio and a special section facing the street that guests can reserve for private events.
Takashi Nishioka is the head sushi chef at the restaurant, previously known for his work at Sushi Samba in Las Vegas. His resume also includes working at Las Vegas’ Shintaro.
In addition to sushi and other traditional Japanese fare, Sushi Shack offers pork pot stickers, prime rib French dip, craft burgers, steaks, lobster tails and more.
The drink menu includes crafted cocktails, wine and craft beer on draft. Happy hour is offered Mondays through Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday brunches feature Champagne and include revolving menu specials.
