Henry's Sandwich Station Will Become First Restaurant To Open In Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village
Jan. 15 Update: The Proper Sandwich Shop will now be known as Henry's Sandwich Station. This article has been updated to reflect the name change. The restaurant will be opening its doors in February.
The wait for FAT Village’s first restaurant is over—Henry's Sandwich Station is set to open its doors in February.
Henry's will focus on small batch, artisanal purveyors and house-smoked and cured meats, and all breads served will be prepared by local bakeries. The restaurant will also feature artisanal cheeses.
The menu's signature sandwiches include Montreal-style smoked meat on Zak the Baker Jewish rye, and slow-roasted prime rib with a homemade horseradish cream.
Food items range from $8-$14 and the menu will also feature breakfast sandwiches, daily specials, artisanal toasts and a full bakery and coffee bar specializing in homemade pies and baked goods.
The drink menu will consist of old-school craft sodas like Cheerwine and Boyland, and will have locally brewed craft beers made from South Florida breweries. Henry's will also be the first Fort Lauderdale restaurant to feature Portland-based Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
Henry's Sandwich Station will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
