Kim Bokamper’s The Balcony Comes To Las Olas Boulevard
An upscale, two-story restaurant is coming to Las Olas Boulevard.
Slated to open on May 4, The Balcony, a new concept created by Kim Bokamper and his three partners, will feature New Orleans-style cuisine, including tapas-style small plates, craft cocktails and live music. It will also have an open-air rooftop and balcony overlooking Las Olas.
The Balcony’s menu blends all of New Orleans flavors, including Fresh, Spanish, West African, German, Italian, Irish and Vietnamese infusions and ingredients.
Menu items include alligator and shrimp jambalaya; fried green tomatoes; Southern confit duck cobb; and Natchitoches pies.
The beverage menu includes New Orleans-inspired cocktails such as the Milk Punch, The Balcony Sazerac and the French 75 Cristo, in addition to craft beers and an extensive wine list. A limited quantity of private wine lockers are also available for purchase.
The restaurant leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to the interior—it's New Orleans all the way. Decorative tiles, showpiece chandeliers, red booths and a hammered tin ceiling were all selected to transport guests to The Big Easy.
Sunday jazz brunch and all-you-can-eat Saturday crawfish boils will also be weekend staples at The Balcony.
The restaurant will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.
