2016 International Sand Art Competition Proves Sand Castle-Making Isn't Just For Kids

These works of sand art are like no sand castle you've seen before.

Several world-renowned sand sculptors gathered in Key West last month for the 2016 International Sand Art Competition hosted at the Casa Marina resort.

The sculptures included "Unravel, Break, Mend" by Morgan Rudluff (which won both the People's Choice and Sculptors' Choice Awards), "The Drop" by Joo Heng Tan (also known as Vincent Sand Gogh), "Succubi" by Guy-Oliver Deveau, and more.

Unfortunately, there's one Star Wards-inspired piece we'll never get to see—"Survival in the Dune Sea," which collapsed on the last day—but the photos of these other stunning sand sculptures will have to do.

We hope you're as impressed as we are. Or at least as hyped to make your next beach trip.
