Check out the avant-garde CoBrA artists from Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam, extensive holdings of works by leading Latin American artists and the country’s largest collection of 19th and early 20th century paintings and drawings by the American realist William Glackens. The museum also boasts the most extensive holding in the U.S. of works by post-World War II artists.

If you’re looking for a way to learn about the water while staying dry, pay a visit to the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF). Known as the mecca and international showplace for swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming, the ISHOF occupies more than 7,500 square feet and contains the world's largest collection of aquatic memorabilia and the single largest source of aquatic books, manuscripts and literature. With more than 40 exhibits and displays that illustrate the history of aquatic sports, it’s easy to see why this is a great place to spend an afternoon learning about the athletes and people who made these sports what they are today.

If you want to check out American automotive history, the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum is the place for you. With 22 Packard motorcars on display from the 1900s to the 1940s, all in working order, take a glimpse into the past. From Roadsters with compartments for golf clubs, a doctor's coupe with a compartment for his medical bag and a 1929 645 Dual Cowl Phaeton that can self-lubricate its chassis as it drives along the road, this museum has it all for the ultimate car-lover. Additionally, the 18,000-square-foot building is also stocked with thousands of pieces of memorabilia and has a gallery dedicated to the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Get your harness ready and grip onto this perfect rainy-day activity. Coral Cliffs Indoor Rock Climbing is a complete indoor climbing gym for all levels. Whether you’re a climbing professional or just starting out, you will have plenty to do with more than 87 top-roped routes, 25 lead routes, bouldering, slabs, aretes, overhangs and arches and roofs that all change on a weekly basis. You can take classes, learn to belay or just free climb for the day. The perfect spot for indoor fun on a rainy day, Funderdome offers plenty of activities including a toddler zone, sky trail tropes course, ball blaster arena and a climbing wall. The space quadrant laser maze, interactive activity floor, 30-foot high vertical tower of play and obstacle course, green monster spiral slide, sports court in the sky and arcades are also options to choose from. There are various classes offered throughout the week and activities for all different ages.
