4 Rivers Smokehouse Opens Its First South Florida Location In Coral Springs, And You're Gonna Wanna Try The Brisket
Chef John Rivers' famous smoked barbecue eats have arrived in Broward County.
4 Rivers Smokehouse, a seven-year-old barbecue chain with a cult following in central and north Florida, opened its first South Florida location at The Walk of Coral Springs shopping center on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The fast-casual restaurant is best known for its 18-hour smoked angus brisket, which is sold by the half-pound, as a platter with sides, or in a sandwich.
Guests can select their smoked meat of choice at the carving station, where it is cut to order. Popular options include pulled pork or chicken, burnt ends, tri-trip, and "Brontosaurus" beef ribs, plus homestyle sides such as baked cheese grits, smoked jalapeños, cornbread salad.
The barbecue joint also offers a new "From the Farm" section of vegetarian options, alongside "Signature Stackers," which are sandwiches like the Smokehouse Cuban with smoked pork and ham, mustard, pickles, onion rings and melted cheese, or the Texas Destroyer with smoked brisket, onion rings, jalapeños and provolone.
And for dessert? Guests can expect Southern-style sweets, like banana dream pudding with graham cracker crust, crispy cream bread pudding made from doughnuts, bananas foster bread pudding with challah and brown sugar bananas, and funnel cake-battered fried Oreos.
4 Rivers is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
