6 Holiday Meals to Try at South Florida Restaurants

Whether it’s a Christmas dinner at Beauty & the Feast Bar|Kitchen or the unique cocktails crafted at Grille 401, some restaurants are making the month of December, and this week especially, a delicious way to spend the holidays.

BRIO Tuscan Grille

Available for lunch and dinner in December 2014, guests can start their meal with the Tomato Jam & Applewood Bacon Bruschetta with housemade Ricotta ($9.95). Created in the spirit of a traditional Italian Stracotto – or Italian pot roast – BRIO will offer the Braised Beef & Rosemary Pappardelle with mushrooms, roasted carrots, onions and tomato porcini sauce over rosemary Papparedelle ($15.95). Lastly, guests can indulge in the Harvest Apple and Walnut Crostada topped with vanilla bean gelato, candied pecans and caramel sauce ($6.95). Also, through Wednesday, Dec. 31, BRIO guests who purchase $100 in BRIO gift cards will receive a $20 bonus gift, valid Jan. 1 to March 15, 2015.

Grille 401

Grille 401, located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, is introducing “A Taste of Christmas Morning” all night long with its decadent Canadian Christmas cocktail. Perfectly suited for the holiday season, the Canadian Christmas is a blend of Sortilege Maple Whiskey Liqueur, butterscotch, cream and a hint of cinnamon, with a chocolate graham cracker coated rim. Price: $12

Beauty & the Feast Bar|Kitchen

Beauty & the Feast Bar|Kitchen, located in The Atlantic Hotel & Spa on Fort Lauderdale Beach, is offering Christmas dinners this holiday season. On Dec. 24 is the “Feast of the 7 Fishes” where guests can enjoy an Italian Christmas Eve tradition where families and friends indulge in a multi-course seafood meal from a la carte menu. On Christmas Day, enjoy Chef Jeff Vincent’s special holiday feast dinner including carving stations, amazing family-style appetizers and side dishes, and a decadent sweet feast dessert platter. $49 for adults; $19.95 for children 12 and under.

Piñon Grill, located at The Terrace at Town Center in Boca Raton, is offering the sweet and creamy Crema de Leche, beautifully displayed in a martini glass. The delicious Crema de Leche is a blend of Rumchata and Jäger spice topped with a marshmallow. Price: $12

Himmarshee Public House

Himmarshee Public House’s twelve new winter menu items include the beer inspired Wynwood Brewery “Pops” Porter Braised Short Rib served with goat cheese mashed potatoes and fried onions and Root Beer Glazed Pork Lollipops served with jalapeno cheddar grits. Other new items include a Southwestern Cobb salad with roasted corn, black beans, avocado, jack cheese and tortilla strips all tossed in a Chipotle ranch dressing; bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo and goat cheese in a San Marzano tomato sauce; and 12-hour pulled pork spring rolls with pimento cheese, served on a bed of creamy coleslaw. There is also a new Grilled Cheese Bar featuring a grilled cheese sandwich that comes with your choice of four year aged Cheddar, Fontina and Havarti cheeses grilled on artisan white bread and served with tomato basil soup. Create your own grilled cheese sandwich by adding smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs, pulled pork and tomato. This creation can also be deep fried upon request.
