99.9 Kiss Country Chili Cook-Off Will Bring Little Big Town, Hot Chili To C.B. Smith Park
Some more cool weather is coming our way this weekend, so it might not be a bad idea to warm up with a bowl of chili and some of country music's hottest stars.
The 99.9 KISS Country Chili Cook-Off returns to C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines on Sunday, Jan. 31, with headliner Little Big Town. Artists Jake Owen, Chris Young and duos Dan + Shay and Maddie & Tae will also be performing on the main stage.
Gates open at 8:30 a.m., and the concerts begin at 10 a.m. Prepare for a high of 74 F and a low of 63 F.
When the Chili Cook-Off was first held in 1986, the event took place at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach and featured only one act: The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, according to WKIS. Since then, the country music event has brought such stars as Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan to Broward County.
Tickets for the 2016 show are $52 and are still available at WKIS.com. WKIS listeners can also tune into the radio station all week long (at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.) to win meet and greet tickets to Chili Cook-Off.
