Amy Schumer Stops By Mod Wine Lounge In Fort Lauderdale After BB&T Center Performance
Restaurant staff and patrons at one local Fort Lauderdale spot were treated to an appearance—and special performance—by Amy Schumer this weekend.
After her show at the BB&T Center on Saturday, Schumer decided to check out Mod Wine Lounge on Sunrise Boulevard, where she spent nearly three hours.
The comedian said she was drawn to the local spot because of its “good-looking vibe” and live music, according to Mod co-owner Chad Thilborger.
Schumer enjoyed the pork sliders and even got up in front of the bar—filled with about 50 patrons at the time—to sing a version of “White Rabbit.”
“It was a hoot; it was awesome,” Thilborger said, describing Schumer as a “true entertainer.”
And while guests respected her space, Schumer kindly offered to take photos with fans.
"[She was] incredibly kind, humble, generous and went crazy about the food and wine," Thilborger said.
The restaurant later took to Facebook to share a photo of Schumer with Mod owners Thilborger and Frank Ruppen. The caption says it all: "Yep this happened here."
