Apparently We Missed Out On The 'Real Housewives Of Boca Raton'

The “Real Housewives of Miami” was, um, interesting, but we’re firm believers that the “Real Housewives of Boca Raton” would’ve been far more entertaining

Well, apparently the show almost happened—at least according to Bravo’s Andy Cohen, who mentioned the idea while taking a call from a viewer Wednesday on “Watch What Happens Live.”

NBC “Today” co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, who were guests on Cohen’s program, praised the concept and volunteered to take part in what Cohen suggested could be a “Golden Girls”-like show.

“Let’s move to Boca and do that,” Gifford told Kotb.

The ladies of Boca Raton may not have gotten their own show, but the city does have ties to at least one “Real Housewife.”

Entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel, who stars in the "Real Housewives of New York City,” attended Pine Crest and once lived in the area. In 2009, she told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times she loved Boca because “everything is nice and new.”

“There's no garbage on the streets. It's easy breezy," she said. “You can wear the cheesiest clothes. You can wear rhinestones. You can wear leg warmers. You can wear anything you want and get away with it. And I like that, because I really miss all those old Florida fashions.”
