Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale Breaks Broward County Record For Most Expensive Condo Transaction With $8.9M Penthouse Sale
A recent sale at the Auberge Beach Residences & Spa has broken a Broward County record.
A penthouse in the luxury development's south tower sold for $8.9 million to a buyer from the Midwest who frequently visits the Fort Lauderdale area, according to a representative.
Additionally, two other penthouse units in Auberge Fort Lauderdale's north tower recently sold for $6.8 million and $6.9 million.
Before the Auberge units, the record for the most expensive condo transaction had been set by a unit at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale that sold for nearly $6.9 million in 2009.
The two-tower condo project broke ground on Fort Lauderdale Beach in December. It's expected to be completed in late 2017. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom penthouse that sold for $8.9 million offers 5,800 square feet of indoor space and 3,970 square feet of exterior living area including a private plunge pool. The condo unit will also feature a den, a private sunroom, and 270 degrees of panoramic views of the city and ocean.
About 90 percent of Auberge Fort Lauderdale's north tower is sold, with units in the south tower, which launched sales in November, now 15 percent sold. Among the luxury residence's prominent buyers are NFL legend Dan Marino, celebrity party planner Annie Falk, and Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour owner Linda Zakheim.
The property will offer a signature Spa by Auberge, restaurants and swimming pools with cabanas. Residents can also take advantage of personalized concierge service, a cigar lounge, wine tasting salon, business center, and fitness center overlooking the Atlantic.
Auberge Fort Lauderdale is the luxury hospitality brand's first residential-only development. It is being developed by The Related Group, Fortune International Group and The Fairwinds Group.
