Casa D'Angelo chef unveils new concept

With its new name, comes new menu items. Oh, and a new location.

Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, Tapas—formerly known as D’Angelo Pizza, Wine Bar, Tapas—will be opening its doors in Coral Springs on Sept. 25 and will be the first to bear the rebranded name.

The new location will still mirror its sister establishments’ Tuscan flavors and sleek and sophisticated ambience.

“Coral Springs is a community with lots of young families and we’re eager to share our Italian family-style cuisine with them,” chef and owner Angelo Elia says.

With locations already in Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Weston, South Floridians can easily indulge in their classic and authentic Italian tapas and large plates.

Some menu additions include:

-Gourmet paninis served on house-made whole wheat or ciabatta bread
-The Fioretto with Parma prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato and arugula
-Pulled short ribs with asiago cheese and red onion with kale slaw
-The Angelo Burger crafted with fontina cheese, fried egg and black truffle arugula mayonnaise

New Mediterranean-style salads:

- Chopped Chef Salad (romaine, ham, turkey, eggs, tomato, avocado, Swiss cheese topped with balsamic vinaigrette)
-Roasted beets (arugula, gorgonzola, candied walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette)
-Chopped antipasto (prosciutto, ham, salami, fresh mozzarella, ceci romaine, radicchio, roasted peppers and black olive lemon vinaigrette)

New tapas:

-Veal and pecorino cheese meatballs
-Sautéed calms and mussels
-Arancini with veal osso buco and mozzarella

Angelo Elia’s restaurants offer hip yet elegant dining destinations, which also serve homemade pastas, chicken and veal dishes, wood-oven pizzas and a notable wine list.

Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, Tapas is located at 5920 Coral Ridge Drive.
