Celebrate Independence Day all weekend long at Freedom Fest, a three-day celebration with a wide range of events. Bet on the live Thoroughbred races, take the children to get their faces painted, or eat some all-American barbecue from Ten Palms. Get ready for a patriotic extravaganza on beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach. The PNC Bank Kids Zone will provide music, comic relief, face-painting and contests. Bring your appetite and compete in an old fashioned hot dog- or apple pie-eating contest. Crystal Visions of Fleetwood Mac and Brass Evolution will take the stage later that day to perform some classic hits. Cap off the evening by enjoying a dazzling pyrotechnic display over the water.
