Christmas On Las Olas Will Turn Downtown Fort Lauderdale Into A Winter Wonderland With A Snow Mountain, Ice Skating Rink And More
Who's ready for some skating and sledding on Las Olas?
Las Olas Boulevard is about to transform into an urban Winter Wonderland as the 54th annual Christmas Las Olas, presented by Breakthru Beverage, returns to downtown Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the stretch of Las Olas between Sixth Avenue and 11th Avenue will be lined with more than 60 food, beverage and holiday booths; icy entertainment areas for sledding and skating; and other frosty festivities. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees can sled down Snow Mountain, a two-story, ice-covered slope; ice skate on a custom rink beside American Social; and take photos with Santa Claus at the Enchanted Village near Louie Bossi's Ristorante.
What's more, "Elf," the classic Christmas comedy starring Will Ferrell, will be shown on a giant movie screen, and choirs from local schools and churches will perform across three stages located on Sixth Avenue, Eighth Avenue, and 11th Avenue.
Among the dozens of sponsors this year, American Social, Big City Tavern, Luigi's Coal Oven Pizza, Louie Bossi's, Riverside Hotel and Tuscan Grill will all have holiday bars outdoors along Las Olas.
