Ciel Spa Opens At Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails, Giving Locals More Options At Day Retreat Location

This Hallandale beach club’s effort to make locals feel like tourists just got a boost with the opening of a new spa.

Ciel Spa at Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails opened for business Jan. 8, offering guests massages, facials, sauna areas and access to a secluded lounge area with ocean views.

Located on the ground floor of the three-story retreat, the “boutique spa” features only three treatment rooms—a perk for those seeking to enjoy a bit of quiet time without the crowds, according to manager Dimitrios Genovas.

“What you’re really coming to do is escape from the world,” he said. “It’s almost kind of like, wow, you have this [spa] to yourself.”

Treatment options include a 60-minute aroma stone-therapy massage ($140), Swedish massage ($140) and white brightening facial ($120). The spa also offers 30-minute massages in an outdoor bungalow on the sand ($70).

A must-try treatment? The tri-enzyme resurfacing facial ($120), said Genovas, who comes to Ciel Spa after working at a Red Door Spa in New York City. It not only “resurfaces your face;” it removes dead skin for results you can see right away.

“You leave glowing,” he said. “You see a difference right away.”

The pampering doesn’t have to end after your treatment, either. Guests are welcome to order food to enjoy in the lounge while still in their robes and slippers. Or, they can shower, change and head upstairs to enjoy a casual dinner at the second-floor restaurant.

“It’s more of an experience. You can have a whole day here at the venue,” Genovas said.

The spa, which uses Elemis products, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
