Cinco De Mayo Fiestas In Fort Lauderdale Include Bar Rita Pop-Up At Tap 42
Get a sneak preview of Bar Rita, a Mexican restaurant concept from the owners of Tap 42, this Cinco de Mayo.
On Thursday, May 5, Tap 42's Fort Lauderdale location—Bar Rita's future next-door neighbor—will give guests a preview of the Bar Rita menu with exclusive tacos and margaritas, plus specialty guacamole.
Expect BBQ pork carnitas tacos, chili lime shrimp tacos, a blood orange margarita called The Matador, and coconut lychee margaritas. Fresh guac will be served with a basket of tortilla chips seasoned with Bar Rita's specially developed blend of spices.
Bar Rita first announced it would be coming to Fort Lauderdale back in late 2014, but development of the Tap 42 locations in Boca Raton and Coral Gables took priority.
"Construction has taken more time than expected, but we own the property and will be here forever, so we take solace in knowing that it's an investment in our own ground and community," said Andy Yeager, COO of Tapco Restaurant Group, Tap 42's parent company.
Expected to open this summer, the quick-service restaurant will have a rooftop margarita bar for guests to enjoy cold cocktails and innovative Mexican cuisine in the open air.
