Dwyane Wade Makes Western High School Graduation Extra Memorable With Surprise Appearance At Ceremony

After campaigning to get Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade to come to her graduation, a Broward student’s wish finally came true.

The basketball player surprised Western High School senior Negeen Fallahzedeh during the Davie school’s commencement ceremony at Nova Southeastern University on Thursday night.

Wade snapped a selfie with Fallahzedeh (and dozens of graduates), and shared the image on Instagram, writing, “Dreams do come true... #WadetoWestern was a hastag that this young lady Negeen's started last July to get me to come to her graduation..and BOOM we just did that.. @wadesworldfdn #AllergictoNo.”

Given recent reports that Wade is open to leaving the Heat if he's not given a raise, it's uplifting to see that he's secretly a big ol' softie. Needless to say, the class of 2015 was pretty excited. (Many tweeted at Fallahzedeh thanking her for not giving up on the campaign.) Heck, even principal Jimmy Arroyo was pumped.

Congrats, grads!
