Florida Is The Best State To Retire In, According To WalletHub

We’ll give you one guess as to which state was determined to be the best for retirement. (Hint: It’s home to breathtaking beaches and year-round warm weather.)

That's right, Florida topped WalletHub’s list of 2016’s best and worst states to retire, with the District of Columbia and Rhode Island coming in last at No. 50 and 51, respectively.

To come up with its results, WalletHub rated each state (and D.C.) on 24 factors that fell into one of three categories: affordability, quality of life and health care. Factors considered included number of golf courses and museums, doctors per 100,000 residents, crime rate and weather.
