If You Left Florida To Go On Vacation This Summer, Chances Are You Flew To One Of These 5 Locations

Priceline.com knows what you did this summer.

If you're from Florida, it's likely that you flew to New York or California, a study by the travel booking website revealed.

Priceline.com, which lets people purchase flights and hotel stays, analyzed summer travel trends based on tens of thousands of airline tickets booked on its site in April and May 2015 for travel between June 22 and Sept. 21. To identify customers' home states, Priceline.com looked at people's credit card billing addresses.

The top five summer vacation destinations for travelers from Florida, in order, were: New York, California, Europe, Texas and South America.

Florida itself was also a popular destination for people from other states (which is no surprise to us). Priceline's study showed that in the following 16 states, Florida was the No. 1 summer getaway:

  • Alabama
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia
