Fork & Balls On Las Olas Is Hosting A Meatball Eating Contest For National Meatball Day
Meatball lovers, here's your chance to stuff your face.
Fort Lauderdale's own meatball joint, Fork & Balls, is celebrating National Meatball Day with an eating competition and dollar meatball specials.
On Wednesday, March 9, the Las Olas restaurant will host its second annual Meatball Eating Contest. For $20, competitors are challenged to eat as many meatballs as they can in the allotted time frame. (It's free to watch.)
Whoever eats the most meatballs will be crowned the 2016 Ball Master and take home a $500 cash prize. The runner-up will receive a free Brew Bus Brewery Tour and giveaways courtesy of The Brew Bus South Florida.
Last year's winner, Michael Jenkins, ate 32 meatballs in 10 minutes.
For those who still want to scarf down some meatballs without stuffing their faces, Fork & Balls is offering $1 meatballs all day long. Guests can also enjoy 2-for-1 drink specials from 4 p.m to 7 p.m.
To register for the Meatball Eating Contest, call 954.771.2257 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. On-site registration will take place at 7 p.m., space-permitting.
