Fort Lauderdale Locals Build App Focusing On Restaurant Discounts
There’s nothing worse than being hungry and not knowing where you want to eat, and with many great dining locations in the Broward area, it can be hard to choose where to go.
Fort Lauderdale locals noticed this dilemma and decided to build theGOapp: a mobile app that gives local restaurant suggestions, discounts and prizes.
Free in both the Apple and Android app store, theGOapp includes over 700 businesses in the area, with more being added daily.
In addition to free food, drinks and buy one, get one specials, theGOapp has launched an ongoing photo contest that gives customers the chance to win gift cards at participating locations.
All you have to do is download the app on your phone, select the location, enjoy a meal or drink and snap a picture. TheGOapp platform then randomly selects uploaded pictures as winners and transfers the gift cards right to the users’ apps.
Currently, pizza lovers have the chance to win $50 at Mellow Mushroom, while anyone with a sweet tooth can claim $15 at Wilton Creamery.
Some of the other participating locations include PDQ, Agave Taco Bar, Viva Tokyo Mexican Japanese, Garlic Knot and Burgers & Suds.
