Fort Lauderdale Makes Priceline's List Of Top Travel Hot Spots For 2016
Yes, there is truth to the saying, "We live where you vacation."
Fort Lauderdale was just named among Priceline.com’s top travel hot spots for 2016. The travel website looked at hotel bookings for 2016 to come up with the results.
While two other Florida cities—Miami and Orlando—made the top 10 list, it was Las Vegas that took the No. 1 spot. Cancun, meanwhile, topped the list of international destinations.
While Fort Lauderdale was determined to be among the hottest travel spots (for another year in a row, we might add), Daytona Beach, Tampa and Orlando were listed among the most affordable destinations for 2016, with average daily room rates coming in at $99.45, $109.70, and $110.91, respectively.
Here's how Fort Lauderdale stacked up against the other U.S. hot spots for 2016:
1. Las Vegas, Nevada
2. Orlando, Florida
3. Miami, Florida
4. New York City, New York
5. San Francisco, California
6. Fort Lauderdale, Florida
7. New Orleans, Louisiana
8. Orange County, California
9. Chicago, Illinois
10. Los Angeles, California
