Fort Lauderdale Ranks High on WalletHub’s Lists of Best Places for Summer Jobs and Best Places to Start a Career
Summertime is here, and for many high school students, college students and postgrads that means one thing: time to get a job.
Fort Lauderdale was ranked as the third best city for summer jobs, and also ranked as the 24th best city to start a career out of 150 cities.
For the list of best places for summer jobs, WalletHub’s analysts compared the relative strength of the 150 largest markets in the U.S. across 21 key indicators of employment outlook, affordability and friendliness, specifically focusing on dimensions of the youth job market and social environment and affordability.
The data analyzed for the best and worst places to start a career list were similar to those of the rankings for summer jobs. The team compared the 150 largest U.S. cities’ market strength and overall livability, examining key metrics like availability of entry-level jobs and monthly average starting salary.
