Fort Lauderdale's Fort Vintage Flea Market to Feature Food, Antiques and More
Time for our own version of the iconic Brooklyn Flea.
C&I Studios and Shoppe Hope will be presenting the first Fort Vintage Flea on Saturday, May 23.
Inspired by the Brooklyn Flea, a famous bazaar in New York City that’s regularly featured on HGTV’s “Flea Market Flip,” the Fort Vintage Flea will feature a wide range of items, from $4 knick-knacks to $400 antiques.
All the shopping is bound to get your stomach rumbling, so you’ll also want to stop by Frankie Dogs and Brooklyn Italian Ice Co., two of the currently confirmed food vendors. At each market, there will also be a DIY component presented by urban thrift store Shoppe Hope that will teach attendees a new Pinterest-style craft.
Fort Vintage Flea will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the C&I Studios Garden located at 516 NW 1st Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. The market will take place on the third Saturday of every month.
Israel “Izzy” Pagan Jr., the director of enterprise for Hope South Florida, one of the organizations presenting Fort Vintage Flea, says the hope is the flea market will grow and continue every month for as long as possible. There are currently 12 vendors signed up.
A portion of the proceeds from each Fort Vintage Flea will be donated to Hope South Florida, a nonprofit organization that seeks to benefit the area’s homeless.
Parking is free and there is no fee for admission.
Space for vendors is still available and ranges from $50 to $75 for a booth or food tent. For more information or to reserve a booth visit https://www.facebook.com/FortVintageFlea, or contact Pagan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
