Free music every Friday on Fort Lauderdale Beach? We're in.

The Friday Night Sound Waves Music Series kicks off at The Hub on Fort Lauderdale Beach on March 18 with a live performance by singer-songwriter Tom Sartori.

Sartori is a high-energy artist and national touring act who also worked as a resident performer at Blue Martini Fort Lauderdale.

The 36-week concert series will bring artists across genres including jazz, reggae, Latin fusion and more. The free shows take place every Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Las Olas Boulevard and A1A.

“We are thrilled to bring Friday Night Sound Waves back for South Florida’s local residents and visitors to the area, as music is one of the few things that truly transcend age and background through its global language,” series producer Arianne Glassman said in a release.

The 2016 season offers special engagements, such as a Jazz Appreciation Month tribute performance in April by two-time Grammy Award winner Ed Calle and a full-production Elton John tribute show called "The Rocket Man" as part of the city's Broadway to the Beach series. Performances run through Nov. 18.
