Hello Sunny TV Network Lets You Watch Live Coverage Of Fort Lauderdale Events, On-Demand Programming And More
Say hello to Hello Sunny TV, a new online travel channel dedicated to all that Fort Lauderdale has to offer.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau launched the new 24/7 digital TV network last weekend to coincide with the inaugural Riptide Music Festival on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Hello Sunny provided behind-the-scenes coverage of the alternative music fest throughout the weekend, featuring artist and audience interviews and more.
"We went live from the festival for several hours in the late afternoon," GFLCVB Media Relations Director Jessica Savage said. "The coverage was generated from three locations to provide multiple perspectives – the VIP lounge, the stage area and the Underground Lounge, where there were actually pop-up performances. We spoke with attendees from all over and even interviewed some of the musicians who performed."
The digital network is available at Sunny.org/TV on desktop and mobile devices, Smart TVs, and streaming players like Apple TV and, soon, Roku.
Viewers can expect livestreams of Greater Fort Lauderdale's beaches, and live coverage of upcoming events such as Art Fort Lauderdale and Underground Lauderdale Fashion Week. Even some Winterfest coverage this weekend might be in store, according to Savage.
Any livestreamed events will simultaneously stream on Facebook Live as well.
Launching in 2017, Hello Sunny TV will also air a live weekly show previewing the week's events, arts and culture opportunities, conventions and more.
"It will also spotlight people and attractions in the destination that are interesting and perhaps not as well-known as others," Savage said. "We see the potential to bring a business, leisure and resident audience together with this program so that we continue to provide a warm welcome to all visitors."
The network also features continuous on-demand content, with episodes on topics like dining, fashion, fitness, and festivals. Select programming is even available in Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
