The HGTV Dream Home 2016 Is In Florida, And We Can’t Help But Picture Ourselves There

What’s on your dream house checklist? A spacious kitchen, pristine quartz countertops, wood floors, elegant furniture and an impressive front courtyard? How about access to our beautiful Florida beaches and a front-row seat to rocket launches from Cape Canaveral?

This year’s HGTV Dream Home in Merritt Island has all of the above and more.

The waterfront Central Florida property, restored by interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn, features three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a private pool and a three-car garage. Coming in at 3,150 square feet, the house takes cues from properties found in the Hamptons on New York's Long Island. "Painted pure white with soft, blue-gray trim, the stuccoed and vinyl sided house appears casual yet elegant," HGTV notes.

From now until Feb. 18, fans can enter for a chance to win the home, which comes furnished by Ethan Allen. The prize package also includes a new 2016 GMC Acadia Denali, $250,000 provided by national mortgage lender Quicken Loans and a brand new boat. There's a limit of two entries per day.

Since the start of the annual giveaway in 1997, HGTV has featured three other dream homes in Florida: Rosemary Beach (1999), Mexico Beach (2003) and Islamorada (2008).

The last HGTV Dream Home was located in Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
