Hyatt Regency Pier 66's Waterfront Panorama Ballroom Has A New Look

The Hyatt Regency Pier 66 has put the finishing touches on its waterfront ballroom, wrapping up a five-month renovation.

The Fort Lauderdale hotel's Panorama Ballroom, situated on the Pier 66 marina along the Intracoastal Waterway, received the facelift to complement a renovation the marina underwent last year.

The ballroom's upgrades include new carpeting, lighting and furnishings—all in a fresh color palette. The hotel did not disclose the cost of the renovation.

“Our new Panorama Ballroom signifies our ongoing commitment to outstanding guest experiences,” Marcos Borras, general manager at the hotel, said in a press release.

The 5,900-square-foot space offers a foyer, banquet hall, reception area and classroom. Overlooking the marina, its appeal lies in the views of multi-million-dollar yachts and waterfront sunsets.

Now, the renovated space features blue and green carpeting with maritime patterns, as well as painted walls and decor in a warmer earth-tone palette. In addition, modern lighting has transformed the ballroom, with hanging glass globes in the reception area and light boxes with crystal spikes in the event spaces. The lobby and reception areas also feature new furnishings.

The Panorama Ballroom remained open for business throughout the renovation process and will continue to host charity events, meetings and weddings in its self-sufficient environment.

Steps from the main Hyatt hotel, the Panorama Ballroom is a self-contained venue with a separate entrance, covered outdoor terrace, meeting space and more. It even has its own parking facility. Hotel representative Michael Goodman explained that this appeals to clients.

"It's very flexible to have registration, outdoor space for meals/receptions, and indoor ballroom for meetings and special occasions," he said.

The Hyatt Regency Pier 66 has undergone a number of other changes and renovations. Most recently, the Hyatt Regency added Park 66, a family-friendly interactive playground that offers life-size chess, lawn croquet, bocce ball, ping pong and more.
