JetBlue’s Mint Service On Select Flights From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Offer Lie-Back Seats And More

Soon you'll be able to fly out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in style.

JetBlue has announced it's launching Mint service, the airline's version of premium travel, on select flights between FLL and domestic airports on the West Coast starting in 2017. The experience includes fully lie-flat seats and artisanal dining options.

JetBlue Mint planes (Airbus A321) offer 16 seats that turn into flat beds, four of which are private suites with a closing door. Each seat also has a 15-inch flat screen TV set with free programming. Mint passengers can also enjoy a free amenity kit from Birchbox filled with samples of beauty and grooming products.

The food and beverage program includes signature Grey Goose cocktails, a tapas-style menu curated by top-rated New York City restaurant Saxon + Parole, dessert from a Brooklyn ice cream shop and Greenwich Village bakery, and fresh coffee from a custom-built cappuccino machine.

Mint flights from FLL will operate to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco. The other routes for which JetBlue just announced Mint service are:

  • Las Vegas and New York (JFK)
  • San Diego and New York (JFK)
  • San Diego and Boston
  • Seattle and New York (JFK)
  • Seattle and Boston

Fares start at $599 for one-way flights, or about $1,200 one way—a price point JetBlue hopes will appeal to business class travelers used to purchasing premium flights at higher costs.

Mint already operates flights between New York and Los Angeles (LAX), New York and San Francisco, as well as service from Boston and the Caribbean, including flights to Barbados, Aruba, St. Lucia and St. Maarten.

Seats on the newly announced Mint routes, including those out of FLL, will be available for purchase in the coming months.
