Kenny Chesney Is Headlining Tortuga Music Festival 2017; Early Bird Tickets Sell Out In Record Time
A country music star who's no stranger to Tortuga will be headlining the 2017 festival.
Kenny Chesney will return to the Tortuga Music Festival for the third time, festival producer HUKA Entertainment announced Monday.
The country crooner—who’s been named Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music eight times—was previously a headliner at the inaugural Tortuga Festival in 2013, as well as the 2015 show.
Though the rest of the lineup remains unannounced, HUKA Entertainment Chief Experience Officer A.J. Niland says the 2017 roster will be "our strongest one yet." Tortuga performers in 2016 included Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Tickets for the fifth annual festival, taking place on Fort Lauderdale Beach from April 7 through April 9, are now on sale. Early bird and advance-tier tickets went on sale Friday morning and sold out in record time (45 minutes for early bird and two days for advance), according to the festival's organizers.
Regular tickets are now available at tortugamusicfestival.com. Cost is $229 for three-day general admission passes, $999 for VIP, and $1,499 for Super VIP. Payment plans and travel packages will become available Wednesday, Sept. 14.
