Light Up The Beach Will Kick Off The Holiday Season With Tropical Snowmen, Yuletide Carolers And More
The giant beach snowman is back—and this year he has a family!
Locals can join Olas the Snowman (not to be confused with Olaf from "Frozen") for 2016's Light Up The Beach festivities, featuring Santa Claus, Yuletide carolers, pony rides and more. The free event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Hub on A1A and Las Olas.
The event will begin with a holiday choir performance of "Sounds of the Season," followed by an illumination of 50,000 holiday lights alongside Olas and his family. There's even a contest to name the snowman's family members by Monday, Nov. 20, at midnight. Enter to win a $50 gift card by leaving a comment here.
The fun will continue with a kids zone, slides, pony rides, and tons of holiday cheer.
