localgreens In Delray Beach Brings Fast-Casual Concept To Health-Minded Consumers

localgreens, a concept developed by restaurateur Dave Magrogan, Chef Josh Short and Chef Adam Gottlieb of the Dave Magrogan Restaurant Group, will open to the public on Aug. 28 in Delray Beach, with a grand opening event on Sept. 8.

The fast-casual restaurant is health-focused, featuring an ordering system with convenient kiosks to combine the convenience of fast food with the nutritional benefits of fresh local ingredients.

Dave Magrogan Restaurant Group also owns Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in Delray Beach. Following its success, localgreens serves as a quick-service complement to the full-service dine-in restaurant.

localgreens will utilize the same farm-to-table approach as its sister concept. The menu is curated by Corporate Executive Chef Josh Short, who sources ingredients from nearby farms to feature peak-season selections.

Menu highlights include the Grateful Shred Green Bowl, a mix of Tuscan kale and red cabbage with heirloom cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, bean sprouts, carrots, beets, golden raisins, broccoli and sunflower seeds; Medicine Man Hot Noodle Bowl with ramen noodles, carrots, edamame, broccoli, baby bok choy, red cabbage, basil and more; and PowerSnack Bowls including acai, chia seed and organic Greek yogurt bases.

The restaurant’s interior features eco-friendly elements, including seating made from 90 percent sawdust and other recycled materials, and biodegradable, plant-based take-out containers.
