Louie Bossi’s Ristorante Launches Weekly 'Bossi Ball' Tournament, Letting You Play Late-Night Bocce For Big Prizes Every Tuesday
We get it, Tuesdays can be mundane, and you’re planning on spending another night in with your good friend, Netflix. So give yourself something a little more exciting to look forward to, and channel your inner Italian sportsman.
Louie Bossi’s Ristorante, Bar and Pizzeria on Las Olas has kicked off a weekly “Bossi Ball” tournament, in which guests can enjoy drink specials plus music from a live DJ, and compete against each other in bocce ball for a chance to win prizes.
The classic Italian lawn game, in which Bocce balls are tossed with the goal of getting them as close to the target ball as possible, dates back to the Roman Empire. The new tournament takes place every Tuesday night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Make no mistake, this is no drab Bingo night. Teams of two compete for big prizes, which include bar tabs, bottles of wine and liquor, and even concert tickets. The selection rotates weekly.
During the late-night event, both competitors and spectators can sip on $3 Peronis, $5 Finlandia vodka cocktails and $6 Aperol spritzers. Guests can also order off the menu to snack while they compete.
Louie Bossi’s 2,000-square foot piazza features a bocce ball court that has quickly became a customer favorite. Since launching in late April, Bossi Ball's roster of competitors has grown each week, with 22 teams in the tournament last week.
Grab a friend for your team of two, and call 954.356.6699 to register for some true, Italian-style fun.
