Big fan of the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle? Then this is the weekend for you. Here’s how locals and tourists alike can celebrate:
Anniversaries call for multi-course meals and extra special treats. Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is doing just that at JWB Prime Steak and Seafood from Friday through Sunday, offering a three-course anniversary dinner menu, priced at $79 per person, including a Surf & Turf entrée with spear-caught fish of the day, American-style Kobe beef and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
The resort will also celebrate with a ceviche culinary demonstration in the lobby from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, featuring JWB Prime Steak and Seafood’s award-winning Paradise Ceviche.
Learn how to DIY the signature Margaritaville margarita when a mixologist showcases the recipe from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the 'Live Life Like a Song' retail store in the lobby.
Other drink specials include a $5 “anniversarita” served from Friday through Sunday at the LandShark Bar & Grill, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill and Margaritaville restaurant during live performances, and complimentary Champagne (Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) and mimosas (Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon) in the 'Live Life Like A Song' retail store.
Also, the new "That Kind of Morning" Hangover Bar located at Lone Palm Beach Bar, will be introduced during the weekend and will offer $8 bloody marys from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Entertainment will be key in making the anniversary weekend special for the resort and its guests. Expect to see a special performance by Miami-raised and world-renowned Tony Succar, who will be performing a Michael Jackson tribute.
On Saturday, the resort's Fins Up Music Festival at the Hollywood Beach Bandshell from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. will feature Ricky Valido and The Hialeah Hillbillies, Bushwood, Havoc 305 and Khemistry. Steeltown Religion will finish off the anniversary weekend with a country and rock performance.
Close out the weekend at Sun Splash Reggae Sunday with Visions Band & DJ Radcliffe and a Jamaican barbecue at 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill with smooth sounds that will make you feel like you’re listening to the music on your own private island.
The Fins Up Music Festival is free to attend, and non-resort guests will be able to park in the public parking garage attached to the resort for $4 an hour.
Other anniversary specials at Margaritaville include specially priced Sun Soother facials and “Massageritas” at the St. Somewhere Spa. The facial and massage are both 50-minute treatments and each are priced at $99. The massage uses hand-carved salt stone from the Himalayan Mountains and lime essential oils.
