New Monthly Farmers Market At Burlock Coast Returns Dec. 10, Bringing Local Produce And Artisan Vendors To Fort Lauderdale Beach
If you're heading to the beach this weekend, be prepared to bring home fresh fruits and veggies instead of sand.
Burlock Coast, The Ritz-Carlton's upscale farm-to-table restaurant located right on Fort Lauderdale Beach, has launched a new farmers market highlighting all of its local vendors, and it returns Saturday, Dec. 10.
"Using the best and freshest fruits, vegetables, and proteins available is part of Burlock’s DNA and a big part of our success," Burlock Coast chef Gavin Pera said in a statement. "The locals have embraced the restaurant as their own, and we couldn’t be prouder. The launch of the [Farmers] Market is a thank you to them and a natural extension of what Burlock is all about.
The monthly farmers market debuted last month as part of Burlock Coast's one-year anniversary celebration and is set to continue the second Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition to local produce from South Florida farms, market guests can expect to find fresh baked breads, juices, raw honey, natural soaps and scrubs, and even accessories from The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale's boutiques.
The December farmers market will feature artisanal products and produce from 3 Sisters Farm, Tamer Harpke Farm, Hammock Hallow Farm, Keez Beez Raw Honey, SMAKS Bespoke Teas, Bootlager Beer, Fwaygo Rum, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Memories and Island Company. Burlock Coast will also have its own booth selling sweet and savory items.
Browsing the farmer's market is free and open to the public. The restaurant will also be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. for breakfast, brunch, and dinner.
