Plans For Las Olas Walk Residences Include A Rooftop Deck, A Boathouse And More
Fort Lauderdale continues to grow in population, and residence buildings continue to rise. Las Olas Walk Residences is scheduled to break ground soon, and is set to be completed in 2019.
The project, a two-building, 456-unit development will feature a 20,000-square-foot rooftop deck, a co-working space, spa treatment rooms, a fitness center, a dog run and a boathouse with kayaks and paddle boards.
The eight-story towers, located on the north and south side of South Federal Highway, pay homage to coastal Mediterranean villages, inspired by the buildings’ locations, which offer residents direct canal access.
Las Olas Walk Residences, designed by Stantec, includes natural materials like wood, neutral stucco colors, art throughout the buildings and modern furnishings.
The north tower will boast a continuous glass facade storefront system, with matte black metal frames and pops of reds and oranges. It will hold 329 units and will also feature a lobby, designed as a concierge lounge for residents, a pool, a fitness center and a dog run.
The 127-unit south tower is being planned with the avid worker in mind, featuring a co-working space on the ground level with wooden work pods, modern Danish lounge furniture, a coffee bar and bleacher seating.
The south tower will also be home to the 20,000-square-foot rooftop, located on the eighth-floor, which will offer views of the New River, downtown Fort Lauderdale and the beach. An intimate pool, adjacent to the spa treatment rooms, will also be on the rooftop deck.
