Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar Opens In Delray Beach Sept. 30. We'll Be Dreaming About The Guacamole Until Then.
Downtown Delray Beach will finally have its own Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar by the end of the month.
The newest Rocco's Tacos location on Atlantic Avenue will be opening for dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 5 p.m. But the real fun starts that Tuesday.
To celebrate the South Florida chain's seventh location, Rocco's Tacos will host a grand opening party in Delray on Sept. 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Guests can purchase drinks from a cash bar and snack on complimentary chips, salsa and guacamole.
“The amount of love we’ve received from our South Florida fans is humbling,” owner Rocco Mangel said in a press release. “We’re blessed to have the support of locals who join us for experiences week after week, and constantly recommend our restaurants to out-of-town guests."
The indoor/outdoor Mexican restaurant, which encompasses 6,500 square feet of space, will feature authentic decor Mangel purchased in small villages across Mexico, as well as the restaurant's signature star-shaped, punched-metal lantern chandeliers.
We can also expect everything else we've come to know and love about other Rocco's Tacos restaurants: upbeat music, occasional live mariachi bands, more than 330 varieties of tequila (sometimes poured into guests' mouths for free by Mangel himself), and that legendary tableside-prepared guac.
Chef Robert Hernandez from Rocco's Tacos' newest location in Brooklyn, New York, along with Boca Raton general manager Matthew MacDougal, will be headed to the Delray restaurant.
Dinner service exclusively will continue through Friday, Oct. 2, and then lunch/brunch begins Saturday, Oct. 3. Then it's business as usual; normal hours will tentatively be 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.
