South Beach Wine & Food Festival 2017 Wrap-Up: DRINK Fort Lauderdale, Grand Tasting Village And More
We've officially said farewell to the 2017 edition of South Beach Wine & Food Festival, but we still haven't gotten over our food comas.
Throughout the weekend, Gold Coast magazine's editorial staff was on the scene at Taste Fort Lauderdale events including DRINK Fort Lauderdale in FAT Village, late-night parties like the Decadent Dessert Party with Duff Goldman, and a true SOBEWFF staple, the Grand Tasting Village.
Between all of that, Tribute Dinner honoree and famed restaurateur José Andrés got the attention of the evening's attendees for tearing open his chef's coat and revealing a T-shirt that read, "I am an immigrant"; Tucker Duke's won the $10,000 Red Robin Best of the Bash prize at Burger Bash for the local restaurant's specialty Marmaduke burger with fig and bacon chutney, melted brie, smoked aioli and arugula; and actor Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka hosted the Bloody Mary Brunch featuring some of Broward's best chefs at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale.
Check out some highlights from the festival in the photos and videos below, and see our recap of the festival's kickoff with chef Anne Burrell earlier in the week.
