South Florida Chefs To Fight Childhood Hunger at Taste of the Nation Event

Food lovers, get your taste buds ready for the giveback event of the season. South Florida’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry event returns to Soho Studios in Miami on May 12.

Featuring the area’s top chefs, sommeliers and mixologists, the event will let attendees sample a variety of savory dishes, craft cocktails and mouthwatering desserts from more than 50 restaurants and local hotspots, including SuViche, 3030 Ocean and 4 Rivers Smokehouse.

The 29th annual tasting will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by an exclusive after party for VIP ticket holders at R House, where owner and chef Rocco Carulli will team up with select restaurants and treat guests to a selection of bites and beverages.

This year’s event introduces the first Taste of the Nation Speakeasy, which will feature local mixologists and their specialty cocktails made with select spirits. The event will be emceed by CBS4’s Lisa Petrillo and Y-100 Miami’s on-air personality Nick Pena.

Taste of the Nation benefits the No Kid Hungry foundation, an organization that provides America’s children access to nutritional food.

General admission tickets are available online at nokidhungry.org/Miami for $125. VIP tickets begin at $175, and VIP Plus admission for $200 includes event admission, early access and entry to the after party from 10 p.m. to midnight.
