Ask any canine owner, and they’ll tell you it’s true—a dog really is man’s best friend.

Celebrate your pup on National Dog Day (Aug. 26) by treating him or her to a VIP staycation at W Fort Lauderdale and The Atlantic Hotel & Spa. The two local hotels offer pet packages year-round that are sure to make tails wag.

W Fort Lauderdale

Spoil your dog with a staycation in W Fort Lauderdale’s VIP Pet Suite. Upon check-in, dogs will receive a limited-edition W Fort Lauderdale dog bandana, food and water doggie bowls and a plush in-room doggie bed to curl up on. The suite also includes a tinkle turf pad for the balcony, doggie pick-up bags and a Bark Box filled with a variety of new toys and treats. W Fort Lauderdale also has a menu for your pup to chow down on, with hamburger patties with diced pineapples, salmon filet with steamed asparagus, kosher beef hot dogs with broccoli, steamed edamame and more.
