See 30,000 Marshmallows Fall From A Helicopter At Spring Marshmallow Drop Event In Hollywood

It’s going to be raining marshmallows in Broward County this weekend.

More than 30,000 marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter at Boulevard Heights Community Center in Hollywood on Saturday, March 19.

The annual Spring Marshmallow Drop is the highlight of a family-friendly day that includes activities such as arts and crafts, music, food, refreshments, a bounce house, an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny. The fun kicks off at 2 p.m., with the marshmallow drop scheduled at 4:30 p.m.

Children are encouraged to bring baskets or bags in order to collect both eggs and marshmallows. All participants will receive a bag of candy and will be eligible to win other prizes including bicycles and gift baskets.

New this year is a Toddler Zone, where children 2 years old and younger can enjoy fun activities while the older kids partake in the hunts.

With the event attracting as many as 2,800 adults and children, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow plenty of time to check in and receive wristbands.
