Tap 42 to Host 5K Benefitting Voices for Children
On April 25 beginning at 7:30 a.m., Tap 42 in Fort Lauderdale will host a 5K to benefit the Voices for Children of Broward County.
The 5K will be a part of Tap 42’s philanthropic arm, Tap Takes Over.
"Since our inception, Tap 42 has always thrown large philanthropic events monthly at the restaurant to support local and national charities,” says chief operating officer Andy Yeager. “…[We] knew that hosting a 5k in our city would help garner the attention that this cause so greatly deserves.”
In conjunction with the Guardian ad Litem Program, Voices for Children provides financial resources for the health, education and social needs for children in the foster care and child welfare system.
The 5K will weave through downtown Fort Lauderdale and end at Tap 42, which will have a post race re-fuel breakfast station.
For $20, participants can register online or before the race, which begins at 6 a.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
Tap 42 will kickoff the Tap Takes Over weekend by hosting a pre-race happy hour and registration party on April 24 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Coconut Cartel will be providing coconuts for Tap 42’s signature Cartel Cocktail.
All proceeds from the 5K and pre-race happy hour will benefit Voices for Children.
