Toast To The Holiday Season With The AFROHEAD Coquito Recipe By Isaac Grillo
The Coquito, a classic Puerto Rican cocktail, is traditionally enjoyed during the holiday season.
Isaac Grillo, an AFROHEAD Rum ambassador and co-founder of Delray Beachâ€™s Death or Glory, has taken the traditional Coquito and turned it into a lighter, easy-to-make drink.
Serve Grilloâ€™s drink (recipe below) as an aperitif on Christmas Eve, or at any time during December. Sip away, and taste the holidays.
3/4 oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. cinnamon simple syrup
1.5 oz. coconut water
1.5 oz. Afrohead Premium Dark Aged Rum
1 egg white
Shake all ingredients vigorously to incorporate egg white. Top with grated nutmeg.
