Tony Bennett Dines At Casa D’Angelo In Fort Lauderdale
Tony Bennett may have left his heart in San Francisco, but he recently brought his appetite to Fort Lauderdale, where he enjoyed dinner at a local Italian spot.
The legendary singer stopped by Casa D’Angelo Ristorante with his wife, daughter and three other guests around 7:15 p.m. on March 14.
He was in town for a performance at the Broward Center the following evening.
So, what did the Grammy Award winner eat at the restaurant?
According to a rep, he started with a tuna appetizer and moved on to the sea bass for his entrée. Of course, no dinner is complete without fine wine. His table also enjoyed two bottles of Castello Romitorio Brunello wines, she added.
Unsurprisingly, Bennett is far from the only celebrity sighting in Fort Lauderdale in recent months. Comedian Amy Schumer stopped by Mod Wine Lounge after a BB&T Center performance in December, while TV chef Gordon Ramsay paid a visit to ROK:BRGR in October.
Casa D’Angelo, which happens to be a favorite spot for a particular local chef, is set to open a fourth location in South Miami this summer. Chef Angelo Elia is also expanding with a new concept, called Angelo Elia The Bakery Bar, that's expected to open in Fort Lauderdale in late May or June.
