Tortuga Music Festival Announces 2017 Dates; Early Bird Tickets On Sale Sept. 9
Fort Lauderdale's favorite country music festival is set to return as a three-day bash in 2017.
Tortuga Music Festival, which takes place every spring on Fort Lauderdale Beach, has announced the dates of its 2017 show. After extending the festival to three days for the first time last spring, Tortuga saw more than 90,000 attendees, and organizers have decided to keep the three-day beachfront party going.
Next year's festivities will run from April 7 to 9, about a week earlier than usual. Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 9.
“With our expansion last year to three days, our fans showed how excited they were to get an extra day of Tortuga time on the beach,” festival organizer A.J. Niland said in a statement.
Headliners and other acts have not yet been announced, but with the festival now celebrating its fifth year (have we seriously already been partying country-style on the beach for that long?), Niland says the lineup will be "our strongest one yet." Tortuga performers in 2016 included Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Early bird tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. During this pre-sale, a limited number of general admission and VIP tickets will be available at a discount: $189 for three-day general admission, $839 for three-day VIP, and $1,299 for three-day Super VIP. A four-ticket limit will be in effect.
Advance price-level tickets will go on sale immediately after the early bird level sells out. Regular-tier ticket sales will follow.
Tickets can be purchased at tortugamusicfestival.com or by phone at 877.987.6487.
