Relax And Recharge At W Fort Lauderdale's New AWAY Spa
February has arrived as fast as the holidays passed, meaning Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. If you’re in need of some R&R to look your best for the most notorious day of romance, W Fort Lauderdale has a brand new spa that is every bit as accommodating as it is gorgeous.
The South Florida luxury hotel is the first of its chain to launch an AWAY Spa featuring full-service body and beauty treatments, as well as a complete beauty menu. It’s the cherry on top of W Fort Lauderdale’s $55 million renovations.
“Following the $55 million property renovation, the restyling and rebranding of AWAY elevates the guest experience with our signature W style, and differentiates itself from the norm,” W Fort Lauderdale general manager Anna MacDiarmid said in a press release. “We’re eager to have our hotel guests, residential owners and local patrons enjoy this new energizing experience.”
Bright, colorful graphics cover the walls of the 3,778-square-feet space, welcoming people of all ages to kick their feet back and relax. The spa offers a plethora of new services and amenities if you're looking to rejuvenate and renew, including detox massages, a Manicure Bar and products by Italian spa and wellness brand, Comfort Zone.
Your spa experience begins with a complimentary Elixir shot made with healthy ingredients to start your visit on a refreshing note. The menu covers an extensive number of treatments, divided into five categories: Quick Fix, Detox, Massage, Face and Body.
Those in a rush can trust the Quick Fix option to get them ready in a short amount of time. Choose from a lush 10- ($25), 15- ($59) or 50-minute ($119) neck, back and shoulder massage at the Quick Fix Massage Bar in a state-of-the-art express massage chair.
Whether you need a touch-up in a pinch for a wedding or ladies’ night, head to the Glam Station for a Make-Up Dusting ($55), or a total makeover with the Full Make-Up option ($95). A 25-minute customizable Beauty Boost facial ($65) will bring your skin back to life after a tedious workweek.
Two massage chairs and bright throw pillows decorate the spa’s Pedicure Station, which offers services to get pedi-perfect. From the all-encompassing, 50-minute Pedi Essentials pedicure ($75), to the 75-minute Lux Pedicure for tired toes ($105), there’s an option for every need.
Other splurge-worthy treatments include the Detox Body, a 50-minute full-body AHA peel, massage and wrap meant to drain tissues and boost the body's natural detoxification systems ($145); the Revive, designed to decrease the appearance of fine lines and hyperpigmentation with the use of Comfort Zone products ($225); and a 50- or 80-minute De-Stress massage to restore muscles and lessen brain fog with head-clearing oils, moderate pressure and massage techniques to ease tension ($145, $225).
After indulging in AWAY’s detox treatments and services, you can also choose to relax in the steam showers, or retox with Moet Champagne and a selection of wines.
The AWAY Spa is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, or to make a spa reservation, visit wfortlauderdale.com.
