Warby Parker Location Opens In Fort Lauderdale
The internet's favorite trendy specs now have a home in Fort Lauderdale: Popular eyewear retailer Warby Parker has officially opened a location on Las Olas Boulevard.
The brick-and-mortar store had its grand opening on Saturday, June 22. Guests got to enjoy a giant tropical mural by Sandra Navarra, an illustrator from Barcelona, and they received tote bags featuring her artwork with a purchase. Visitors also received complimentary handcrafted popsicles from HipPOPS.
With the outside painted in the brand's signature Warby Blue color, the store is hard to miss. Illustrations of spectacled faces peek above the windows.
Inside, eyeglasses and sunglasses sit on light oak shelves next to colorful book displays. The space is detailed with brass accents and globe lighting, creating the welcoming feel of a library.
Anyone needing an eye checkup can make an appointment online for an eye exam by an independent optometrist at the store.
Based in New York City, Warby Parker mainly sells its glasses online. However, the eyewear retailer has stores in 29 states including Washington, D.C., as well as three locations in Canada.
The Fort Lauderdale store marks the company’s fifth Florida location, with another planned to open in Aventura. Other Florida stores include Boca Raton, Coconut Grove, Wynwood and Tampa.
